Posteriormente publicó la trilogía Érase una vez un corazón roto, también traducida al español. En 2025 inició una nueva saga dirigida al público adulto con la novela La alquimia de los secretos. Garber trabajaba en una universidad cuando comenzó a escribir en su tiempo libre y más tarde impartió clases de escritura creativa en el norte de California.
