DAHL ROALD Roald Dahl nació el 13 de septiembre de 1916 en Llandaff, Gales, en el seno de una familia de origen noruego. Tras una infancia marcada por la pérdida de su padre y su hermana, estudió en escuelas británicas y luego trabajó para una empresa petrolera en África. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial fue piloto de combate en la Royal Air Force, experiencia que inspiró sus primeros relatos.
