CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie es una escritora y feminista nigeriana, nacida el 15 de septiembre de 1977 en Enugu, Nigeria. Creció en una familia de etnia igbo, y desde joven mostró un gran interés por la literatura. Estudió Medicina y Farmacia en la Universidad de Nigeria antes de trasladarse a Estados Unidos, donde cursó Comunicación y Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad de Drexel y posteriormente en la Eastern Connecticut State University. Más tarde, obtuvo una maestría en escritura creativa en la Universidad Johns Hopkins y otra en estudios africanos en la Universidad de Yale. Su primera novela, Purple Hibiscus 2003 , recibió excelentes críticas, seguida por Half of a Yellow Sun 2006 , que ganó el Orange Prize for Fiction. En 2013, publicó Americanah, considerada una de las mejores novelas del año. También ha escrito ensayos feministas como We Should All Be Feminists y Dear Ijeawele.
