Fue una de las presentadoras originales del programa The Really Wild Show de la BBC, dedicado a la vida salvaje. Ha publicado libros como Poo, The Promise y Gaia Warriors, este último en colaboración con James Lovelock. Sus textos abordan temas como el medio ambiente, la biodiversidad y los derechos humanos, con un enfoque accesible y poético. También ha escrito novelas para adultos bajo el seudónimo Stevie Morgan.
