COLLINS SUZANNE Escritora de literatura juvenil y guionista americana, Suzanne Collins estudió Arte, Teatro y Comunicación en la Universidad de Indiana, completando su formación con un máster en Escritura Dramática. Collins es conocida a nivel internacional por su saga Los juegos del hambre. Su carrera comenzó en 1991 como guionista en la cadena Nickelodeon. Tras conocer a James Plumiew, un escritor de libros infantiles, Collins se inspiró y comenzó a escribir sus propios libros del género. En 2003 publicó su primera novela, Gregor: Las Tierras Bajas, cuya historia se vio influida por la de Las aventuras de Alicia en el País de las Maravillas de Lewis Carroll. Con esta novela daría comienzo su primera saga, Las Crónicas de las Tierras Bajas.
