He has been doodling away since he was a child, sprawled out on his parents' living room floor with a felt tip in his clammy little fist. Although he now does his writing drawing from a desk in his studio. His first picture book 'The Bear Who Stared' was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2017, while his second title 'The Lumberjack's Beard' was shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards. Duncan has also been commissioned for illustration by Quarto, Little Tiger Press, Scholastic and OUP. In his spare time, Duncan likes to walk his dog Ivor and help his daughter improve her video-gaming skill set.
