DU MAURIER DAPHNE Daphne du Maurier 1907-1989 nació en Londres, Inglaterra. En 1931 se publicó su primera novela, The Loving Spirit. A continuación, se publicaron una biografía de su padre y otras tres novelas, pero fue la novela Rebecca la que la lanzó a la estratosfera literaria y la convirtió en una de las autoras más populares de su época. En 1932, du Maurier se casó con el mayor Frederick Browning, con quien tuvo tres hijos.
