BRADBURY RAY Ray Douglas Bradbury nació el 22 de agosto de 1920 en Waukegan, Illinois, Estados Unidos, y falleció el 5 de junio de 2012 en Los Ángeles, California. Hijo de Leonard Spaulding Bradbury y Esther Marie Moberg, se trasladó con su familia en varias ocasiones durante su infancia antes de establecerse definitivamente en Los Ángeles. Se graduó en la escuela secundaria en 1938 y trabajó como vendedor de periódicos mientras comenzaba a escribir relatos. Publicó su primera recopilación destacada, Crónicas marcianas, en 1950, y en 1953 apareció su novela Fahrenheit 451, que fue adaptada al cine. Su producción abarcó géneros como la ciencia ficción, la fantasía y el terror, con títulos como El hombre ilustrado y La feria de las tinieblas. Estuvo casado con Marguerite McClure desde 1947 hasta 2003 y tuvo cuatro hijas.
