Growing up, I was heavily influenced by the zany comedy of such great writers as Spike Milligan, Monty Python, Pam Ayers and Roald Dahl. I wrote comics and funny poems for my friends at school and I also discovered a love of playing sneaky practical jokes. As an adult, I turned my hand to writing children's books and I have been able to channel many of my schoolyard experiences and practical jokes into funny plots and characters for new stories! I am passionate about writing books that make people laugh out loud and tales that families can enjoy reading together. I've been fortunate enough to write picture books, music picture books, middle-grade comedy books and funny audiobooks during my career. I've published over 100 stories for children and I'm always on the lookout for the next interesting idea to pop into a children's book.
