RUSHDIE SALMAN Salman Rushdie nació el 19 de junio de 1947 en Bombay, India. Estudió en la Universidad de Cambridge y se convirtió en uno de los escritores más influyentes de la literatura contemporánea. Su obra combina realismo mágico, crítica política y exploración cultural, destacando títulos como Hijos de la medianoche, que ganó el Premio Booker en 1981, y Los versos satánicos, cuya publicación en 1988 provocó una fatwa por parte del ayatolá Jomeini, obligándolo a vivir bajo protección policial durante años.
